My idea was to mimic a classic ‘I am 7′ (or whatever age) badge that you typically get on the front of birthday cards. Instead of the age mine would say ‘I am VM’.

I knew the best place to create it would be Illustrator so I had a look for some tutorials on line and after a bit of searching I found this one that was just about perfect.
As I searched through I saved any other interesting tutorials on my bookmarking profiles – delicious and Stumbleupon.

It’s come out more or less as I would have wanted and the next step is to make a version that I can use as a favicon for this site (a good little tutorial on creating a favicon in Photoshop here).
